NTNU, PhD student, HSI

Håvard Snefjellå Løvås received the M.Sc. degree in marine technology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway, in 2019. Currently, he is taking a PhD at the centre for Autonomous Marine Operations and Systems (AMOS), Trondheim, Norway, researching hyperspectral imaging techniques and photogrammetry from underwater and aerial platforms. In SeaBee he is working on coregistration techniques to ensure that the hyperspectral maps are geometrically accurate. This is done by aligning the hyperspectral scanlines to the maps from the high-resolution red-green-blue cameras using distinct features on the ground or seafloor.
