Seabirds are magnificent creatures. They are important top predators in marine systems. And they are suitable as models for describing ecological processes and principles.
Geir Helge Rødli Systad is a research scientist working with seabirds in Norwegian waters, covering distribution, monitoring and life history. He has functioned as a consulting seabird ecologist for national management plans in Norwegian waters since 2003 and is member of the SEAPOP and SEATRACK research groups.
